Microsoft is testing a denser left sidebar for shopping queries on Bing, arranging refinement filters in a column that mirrors Google’s all-results layout. Sachin Patel first documented the interface change with screenshots and video posted to X, and Search Engine Watch also covered the sighting.

Bing has offered product refinements on the left rail before. Barry Schwartz at Search Engine Roundtable noted the engine carried a simpler version of this layout back in January 2023, before this newer, more detailed design surfaced. The redesign suggests Microsoft continues to lean on Google’s established shopping search conventions rather than differentiate Bing’s product-discovery interface, a pattern that has recurred across several of its recent search layout tests.

Microsoft has not confirmed the test publicly, and the feature is not yet reproducible outside the spotted screenshots. Retailers running Bing Shopping campaigns should watch for a wider rollout, since a more granular filter rail could change how shoppers narrow product queries before reaching a listing page.

Search Engine Roundtable’s Barry Schwartz first reported the sighting on September 16, 2026, citing screenshots and video from Sachin Patel on X.
