Localizing a video ad once meant reshooting it for every market. Google Ads is testing whether AI dubbing can replace that, rolling Video Ads Dubbing into Asset Studio for a limited set of advertisers, per Search Engine Land.

The feature relies on AI to translate and re-voice a single video into 33 languages and locales, sparing advertisers a separate shoot for each market. It is free for eligible users for now, though Search Engine Land notes availability remains limited rather than broadly rolled out.

The capability itself is not brand new, only newly available as a shipped product. Search Engine Land notes it first surfaced internally in October 2025, and its jump into Asset Studio turns an internal test into something advertisers can build into an actual campaign.

Google’s own promotional material cites a claimed 86% rise in click-through rate alongside a 75% pullback in cost per click, figures the company generated, not an independent measurement, so treat them as marketing claims, not guarantees.

For advertisers running video across multiple markets, the real test is how much control they get over voice and script quality as access widens. Jyll Saskin Gales, a Google Ads coach, flagged the rollout on LinkedIn.

Search Engine Land (Anu Adegbola) reported the rollout on September 18, 2026.
