Google is changing the background color of the Business Profile management dashboard from white to blue, according to a screenshot local SEO practitioner Vinay Toshniwal posted on LinkedIn. Barry Schwartz confirmed the sighting for Search Engine Roundtable on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The change appears to be a partial rollout. Schwartz’s own dashboard still displayed the white background at the time of writing, meaning the update has not reached every account yet.
Nothing functional shifts with the new color. No feature moves, no data changes, and no workflow inside the dashboard behaves differently.
Google has not documented or announced the redesign, which is typical for interface changes to Business Profile. For agencies and in-house teams managing profiles at scale, that pattern matters more than the color itself: screenshot-based client reports and documented click paths for Business Profile should be revisited periodically, since Google can alter the interface without warning.
