Google is expanding Ask Advisor, its AI assistant, with new automated features across the Ads and Analytics platforms. Per Search Engine Land, the changes aim to speed up analysis and cut manual reporting time while keeping marketers inside the tool for decisions.

Inside Analytics, the homepage now shows AI Overviews recapping what shifted in an account since a user’s last login, calling out things like traffic movement or seasonal sales spikes and suggesting next steps. Marketers can dig deeper through Ask Advisor or opt into these summaries by email or mobile notification.

Ads gets a bigger build. Its redesigned homepage adds personalized insight cards, and Ask Advisor answers natural-language questions, for example how a rival is eating into impression share. Ads also gains a new Dashboards tool that turns plain-text prompts into visual reports with automatically written trend summaries; Analytics support for Dashboards has not shipped yet.

The shift signals that reporting is becoming something search and paid teams query rather than build. Analysts should start practicing how to ask Ask Advisor the right follow-up questions, since interrogating the dashboard is becoming as valuable a skill as assembling one.

Search Engine Land’s Anu Adegbola reported the updates on August 10, 2026.
