Microsoft is testing two small changes to how Bing presents results, according to Search Engine Roundtable. Neither has an announced rollout.

In the first, Bing appends a “Read more” link to the end of some result snippets. Barry Schwartz reproduced it in some browsers and found the link points to the same URL as the title. Khushal Bherwani posted a screenshot on October 15, and Schwartz added that Sachin Patel spotted the test a couple of weeks earlier. Google rolled out a comparable link roughly a year ago, and Bing has tried it before in Copilot answers.

In the second, Bing labels sitelinks “Popular Links”. Bherwani’s October 14 post showed the label within sponsored ads, while Schwartz described it as a sitelinks label and compared it to Google’s “Top Pages” tests.

Because the Read more link shares the title’s destination, it adds a second click target without changing rankings. SEOs who see odd click patterns on Bing snippets should check for this test before blaming content changes.
