A billing change surfaced inside a help document rather than an announcement. Google’s Demand Gen FAQ previously billed Google Display Network (GDN) image inventory on a cost-per-click basis. The page now consolidates that inventory under one entry, “Google Display Ads (GDN): CPM,” moving it to a cost-per-thousand-impressions model. The separate row that had listed the Google Video Platform was removed in the same edit, along with a note about an anticipated update timeline to 2024.

Google has not published a statement describing the change; it exists only as an edit to the FAQ page itself, which is why it should be read as a documentation update rather than a formal product announcement. Hana Kobzová spotted the revision and flagged it.

Advertisers running Demand Gen campaigns against Display inventory should re-check blended CPM assumptions in reporting, since the billing basis for that placement no longer matches what the FAQ described before.
