Google Analytics 4 reported zero sessions for September 1, 2026 across what appears to be every property, according to Search Engine Roundtable’s Barry Schwartz. Reporting charts dropped flat to zero for that date, with the pattern surfacing in the Google Analytics Forums, WebmasterWorld, and on social platforms.

Analytics consultant Dana DiTomaso flagged the underlying processing issue a day earlier on LinkedIn, writing that Google Analytics appeared to be struggling with August 31 data across multiple client accounts. Schwartz described the bug as affecting installs broadly, not one account or region, and said Google has not published a fix timeline or cause.

A missing day in the analytics record does not repair itself once Google resolves the bug behind it; the gap stays in historical reports unless someone flags it. Teams running month-over-month comparisons should annotate September 1 as a known data gap before it skews trend lines or triggers false traffic-drop alarms.

Search Engine Roundtable’s Barry Schwartz reported the outage on September 2, 2026.
