Google Ads is surfacing a campaign-level notice that reads “You still have dismissed recommendations for this campaign,” prompting advertisers to dismiss suggestions a second time. PPC consultant Julie Bacchini flagged the message on X, calling it a first sighting in her account and noting Google “is getting pushier on recommendations.”
Google Ads support documentation already covers the behavior: dismissed recommendations can resurface after a set period tied to each recommendation type, as long as the campaign remains eligible. The notice is not a bug, then, but a scheduled resurfacing that many advertisers had not previously noticed.
For teams that lean on optimisation score or auto-apply settings, repeat prompts raise the odds a dismissed change gets accepted by accident on a later pass. Anyone managing accounts at scale should treat resurfaced recommendations as a recurring review task, not a one-time dismissal, and check auto-apply settings before assuming a rejected suggestion stays rejected.
Search Engine Roundtable’s Barry Schwartz reported the resurfacing recommendations behavior on September 4, 2026.
