Local Services Ads accounts are dropping their connection to the Google Business Profile that supplies the listing data behind each ad, per a Search Engine Roundtable report citing advertiser complaints on LinkedIn. Google Ads liaison Ginny Marvin confirmed the company identified the bug and is working to resolve it, adding the problem is separate from the ongoing move of Local Services Ads into Google Ads.

An account that loses its profile link can keep spending while the business details behind the listing go stale, a spend integrity risk, not just a display glitch, for advertisers who assume the two stay linked.

Advertiser Jack Hepp told Search Engine Roundtable his longest-running account lost its Business Profile link over a weekend and needed a support call to restore it, and separately reported intermittent errors loading Local Services Ads accounts this week.

Google has not given a fix timeline. Advertisers should verify their Business Profile link status directly rather than assume it holds.

Barry Schwartz first reported the bug and Google’s response for Search Engine Roundtable.
