Google now has an official help page for the AI-written review summaries that show up inside Search ads. Search Engine Roundtable reported the page, titled About Review summaries, after Hana Kobzová of PPC News Feed spotted it.

Per the document, Google AI collects web reviews from many sites and displays short commentary as part of the ad. The summaries are positive only. Availability is narrow: Search campaigns, all positions on Google.com, all supported devices, and English in the US, Australia, the UK, and India. Sensitive categories such as pharmaceuticals are excluded.

Summaries have appeared in sponsored results for some time, so the news is documentation, not a launch. Barry Schwartz’s write-up mentions no advertiser control over the text and no reporting for it.

Advertisers in the four listed markets should check which of their ads display summaries and whether a positive-only framing, generated from reviews they do not control, fits their brand.
