Akamai and Fastly customers can now treat Google’s server-side tagging tool as production-ready infrastructure, not a trial. Google Search Central stripped the beta notices from both CDNs’ setup documentation, according to PPC News Feed, which credited marketer Hana Kobzová with spotting the change.
The tool routes ad measurement calls through an advertiser’s own domain at the CDN edge rather than a Google-owned one, a setup built to keep conversion tracking working against browser tracking protections and ad blockers. Cloudflare already held general-availability status, so this update brings parity across the three CDNs Google supports rather than adding new capability.
Previously, the Akamai and Fastly setup pages pointed users toward beta support channels if something broke. Those notices are gone, meaning Google now expects standard support to handle any issues.
For PPC and analytics teams running first-party tagging on Akamai or Fastly, the practical shift is confidence: conversion data flowing through those paths no longer carries an experimental caveat. Teams still deciding which CDN to pair with the gateway now choose among three fully supported options instead of favoring Cloudflare by default.
PPC News Feed reported the beta exit on September 3, 2026.
