Google may have quietly restored the num=100 parameter, which returns 100 results on a single page, but nothing is confirmed. Brodie Clark reported seeing it work “in some capacity” after he opened a knowledge panel result and found 99 organic listings. Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Roundtable tested several browsers and could not replicate it.
Google removed the parameter in September 2025, a change aimed at limiting scrapers. Rank trackers took the hit, since pulling deep positions once took one request and now takes roughly ten paged ones, which raises cost and the odds of being blocked. Clark also noted that /goto links in SERP Lens data are bypassing earlier workarounds, a likely problem for some trackers.
Treat this as a sporadic sighting, not a reversal. Teams that report positions beyond page one should watch whether their tracking vendor’s depth data shifts, and log any unexplained jump before acting on it.
