LinkedIn links have started showing up on some Google Search Profiles, according to a sighting shared on X by Damien Andell on November 4. Google has not confirmed the change, so treat it as an early observation rather than a launch.
Andell said LinkedIn sits beside networks such as X, YouTube, and Threads, and that Google adds it automatically. The profile claim flow does not yet let creators add it by hand. Google’s documentation lists YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X as supported platforms, with Facebook and a personal website also available manually.
Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Roundtable, who reported the sighting, could not see LinkedIn on his own profile. That suggests a staged or partial rollout, though Google has said nothing on how it picks which profiles get the link.
For creators and consultants who build authority around a personal brand, an automatic LinkedIn link means the profile’s accuracy now depends partly on Google’s matching, not on a claim you control. Check your own Search Profile this week and note whether LinkedIn appears and points to the right account.
